Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Focusdoro ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use the Focusdoro website, app, and OBS overlay (the "Service"), why we collect it, and what choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Data We Collect

Account data. When you sign in (e.g., with Google) we receive your name, email address, and profile image as provided by the identity provider. We do not store passwords.

Usage data. Pomodoro sessions, tasks, streaks, themes, and overlay settings you create are stored so the Service can deliver its features across devices.

Billing data. If you purchase a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed by Stripe. We receive a customer identifier and subscription status; we do not store full card numbers.

Chat integrations. If you connect Twitch or YouTube to enable chat commands, we store OAuth tokens (encrypted at rest) so the Service can post and read messages on your behalf. You can disconnect at any time.

Analytics & product feedback. We use Google Analytics and Loupe to understand how the Service is used and to collect optional feedback. These tools may set cookies or collect device, browser, and IP information.

Technical logs. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request path, timestamps) are retained for security and debugging.

2. How We Use Data

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• Authenticate users and secure accounts.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Send transactional emails (receipts, security notices, important updates).
• Respond to support requests and feedback.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your Pomodoro session content to train machine-learning models.

3. Legal Bases (EEA/UK users)

We process personal data on the bases of (a) performance of a contract with you, (b) our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, (c) your consent (where required, e.g., marketing emails), and (d) compliance with legal obligations.

4. Sharing

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect your information. Key providers include:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Google Analytics — product analytics.
• Loupe — feedback widget.
• Twitch / YouTube — chat integrations (only if you connect them).

We may disclose data when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights, safety, or property.

5. International Transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers.

6. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can delete your account from settings, after which we delete or anonymize associated data on a routine schedule, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records).

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email hello@focusdoro.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling certain cookies may break parts of the Service.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. The "Last updated" date above indicates when the policy was last revised.
